Originating a Vehicle Loan (VL) Meridian Link Modern Experience

  1. On the global menu bar, click New App Vehicle (Direct)

  3. The system automatically assigns an application number.

 




 

 

  1. In the Loan Information section, enter all required and applicable information.

If your institution uses the DocDownload feature, in Reference Number, enter the reference number. The system maps this number to the DocDownload index file.

  1. In the Primary Applicant - Personal section, depending on your system setup, perform one of the following actions:
    • To automatically import applicant information from your loan origination system, in Member Number, type the member number and press Tab.
    • To automatically import applicant information from your loan origination system, in SSN, type the applicant's SSN and press Tab.
    • To view and import applicant information from your core system, type the member number or SSN, and then click Core Lookup.
  2. Click Import.
  3. In the Primary Applicant - Personal section, enter all required and applicable information that was not automatically imported.
  4. Click View Accts to view a snapshot of the accounts the applicant has with your financial institution.
  5. Optionally, if your system is set up to import assets from your core, select the account and click Import Selected Shares As Assets.

Here is an example. Your results might be different, depending on your core integration setup.

 

 

 

  1. In the Current Housing section, enter all required and applicable information.
  2. If the system did not automatically verify the address, click Verify to manually verify the address.
  3. If you need to modify the address, click Select Address and select the address.
  4. In the Employment section, enter all required and applicable information.
  5. In the Income section, enter all required and applicable information.
  6. If applicable, click Add Additional Income, enter the information, and then click Add.

 




 

 

  1. In the Expenses section, enter all required and applicable information. If the system added expense details, verify the information.
  2. In the Identification section, enter all required and applicable information. If the system added expense details, verify the information.
  3. If applicable, add a joint applicant.
  4. In the Additional Applicants section, click Add Additional Applicant.

  1. Click Joint Applicant, and then click Add.
  2. Enter all required and applicable information.
  3. Continue creating the application
  4. If your system uses custom questions, in the Additional Applicant Info section, enter all required and applicable information.
  5. Click Order Credit and Save.
  6. Click Documents Tab

Click Upload Documents to upload proof of income

  1. Click Double Arrows to Assign the loan

From the drop down select the New Loan Applications queue to assign the loan to lending department.

Entering information on the Vehicle page for vehicles 

 

  1. On the application menu bar, click Vehicle.
  2. In Vehicle Type, select the vehicle type.

The available options are based on your system setup.

 




 

 

 

 

  1. Click to select New or Used.
  2. If you know the vehicle information, click to select Vehicle information known.

If the VIN field does not pass validation, the system displays the Enter a valid VIN error and the Accept VIN link. Click the link if you want to bypass the VIN validation.

  1. Complete all required and applicable fields about the vehicle.

You can enter the VIN to automatically populate the MakeModel, and Year fields.

  1. If your financial institution uses the third-party integrations, click Lookup to view the vehicle value. For detailed steps, see the applicable topic:

  1. In Vehicle Options, click Select to add options from a list, or type in the field to search for and add options one at a time.
  2. If your financial institution uses the CARFAX or Experian AutoCheck integration, click the applicable link to run the check.

The system uploads the results to the Documents page in the Uploaded Documents section.

  1. If applicable, click Add Additional Vehicle and complete all required and applicable fields.

If applicable, click Add Trade-In and complete all required and applicable fields. Only one trade-in is allowed per application.
